Data Deletion Process

Upon a data deletion request, we will delete your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, subject to applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

How to Raise a Data Deletion Request

Users may request data deletion of personal data by:

  • • Sending an email from their registered email address to privacy@indiatax.ai
  • • Mentioning “Account Deletion Request” in the subject line.
  • • Including their registered email ID and mobile number for verification.

Data Deletion & Anonymization Process

Once a valid request is verified, we ensure the following steps are taken:

  • • Account Deactivation: The user’s account will be deactivated immediately.
  • • Primary Deletion: Personal data stored in active production databases will be deleted.
  • • Backup Removal: Data present in backup and disaster recovery systems will also be removed in accordance with our backup retention cycles.
  • • Access Revocation: Access to the account and associated data will be permanently disabled.

Retention Exceptions

Certain information may be retained where required:

  • • To comply with tax, legal, or regulatory obligations.
  • • For fraud prevention, audit, or dispute resolution.
  • • Such retained data will be restricted, secured, and not used for any other purpose.
